ARTIST BIO

Susie Ruth is a singer songwriter from Prince George, BC. The beautiful, relatable and clear imagery of her lyrics, combined with her soothing, R&B influenced voice, radiate feelings of familiarity and comfort of times past, and fuses it smoothly into the new and exciting world of pop for audiences young and old to enjoy. Susie began singing at a young age and after performing at her highschool talent show in her early teens, decided that music was her one and only path. After years of voice lessons and piano lessons, Susie joined a local choir to gain new skills, such as singing harmonies and singing with a group. This opportunity brought her onstage with Foreigner as a background vocalist for their hit song ‘I want to know what love is’. This experience onstage solidified her passion for performing and propelled her on her musical journey. Susie began writing original songs shortly after beginning school at Selkirk College for Contemporary Music and Technology and this quickly became her main focus and one of her greatest joys. Susie aspires to share her love for music and her unique twist on the sounds of yesterday and today with others, in hopes that her audience can feel as captivated and refreshed as she is when she performs.
